Make your personalised mug for Valentine's day with decal paper

Hello everyone,

It is already that time of the year in February.

You guessed it, it's 14 February, aka Valentine's day.

Now some of you are making your own chocolates for this special occasion.

Today's theme will be a custom mug with Valentine's theme - something that will go well with chocolates.

First off, you will need

Sunnyscopa Inkjet Decal Paper and acrylic coating spray

Now let's make one for your loved ones.

1. Edit

Edit and cut out the image. Make sure the images are the right size for cutting.

Print on the glossy side with an inkjet printer. Go into print settings and select either heavy paper or photo paper as media type.

2. Clear coating

Let the printout dry under the sun, or use a hairdryer

Apply a few layers of coating evenly on the image.

We recommend doing this outside as it has strong smell.

Spray, dry and repeat twice.

3. Cut

Cut out the image as close as possible

They will look like this!

4. Put in water for 30 seconds and take out

Submerge in lukewarm water for 30 seconds and remove.

It might take longer in cold water.

5. Mount

For the purpose of demonstration, we are using a photo mug.

Once the film loosens, you are good to go!

Hold the image in place and slowly remove the backing. You will find it much easier if you use a squeegee.

Finished! The image will be more stable as it dries up. You can use a hair dryer to quicken the process.
